Non-profit association for the popularization of Cognitive Sciences for children.
Initiated by Fresco, the French federation of students and young people active in Cognitive Sciences.
The aim of the Cogni’Junior association is to bring some notions of cognitive science through illustrated scenarios to a young audience in a popular and fun way. It also allows students involved in these activities to learn how to popularize their knowledge, to address a different audience and to work in collaboration with illustrators.
The development of cognitive sciences in the modern world and their applications are anchoring this field in everyday life (serious games, neurological rehabilitation, motor rehabilitation, prosthesis, artificial intelligence, the law on cell phones while driving…). It also debunks myths and misunderstandings (man-woman difference, brain size, thought manipulation…). It is therefore essential to inform about what cognitive sciences are and their applications. After the digital generation, the new generation must appropriate this new knowledge that influences today’s society.

These scenarios are written by students and young researchers in cognitive sciences (and related fields) and then illustrated under their supervision. They are then made available on the Internet.
Stories allowing direct interaction with children can be presented in workshops alternating with manual and motor activities. Ideas for activities are presented in the creation section.
